Insurance

Hi

Can anyone give me first hand advice on a good company to get kit car Insurance with? I would like to get Insurance now. Even though the body isn't on, there is an awfull lot of money's worth sat in the garage!! Has anyone got information on a company that will insure at this stage of the build, and then continue (for a higher premium I guess) when the car is complete?

Thanks

Martin

The Search button is your friend Martin.
Insurance has been covered many times before - that will give you a good overview.

BB all the way as far as I'm concerned. 300 knicker for the year fully comp, and excellent customer service to boot.

I found that Footman James were cheaper for build insurance. £140 and Blackford Bloor best for full insurance, £30000 cover for £370 for 3000 miles.

The advantage of BB as I saw it was the ability to transfer any unused build up Insurance to road cover.

Echo AndyCole and Wilf - B&B is your best bet - about £110 for build up Insurance of £14000 in my case, and absolutely no problems with road cover for sva/mot trips f(extra £25 for 2 weeks cover). Discount available for club members, and 1st class service - no call centre. no idiots blagging it.
