Would suggest you contact "Snakebite" Steve) in Devon - he fitted an LS1 to his AK after blowing two normally configured Chevy engines.

Failing that - he will probably respond in due course anyway

Plenty of options from buying a GD system or rewiring yourself as Robin did using the GM ecu/pcm.
I took the route of getting the harness modified for stand alone before shiopping over.
Also used a Bakerelectronix interface for controlling Fuel Pump, Starter and Hi Lo Fans, this also illiminated VATS.
Removal of AC & PS. New belt needed is Gates Micro V 68393.
Straight water neck.
Try Street & Performance for parts headers etc. Welcome to Street and Performance

Yes, I would recommend myself too!!
I modified the harness myself and the only aftermarket part I bought was a Baker electronics VATS/O2 sim module which is about the size of a matchbox and is fitted on a removeable connection so I can disable the car if I so wish.

Will PM you my e-mail address. My website is creffieldcobra.co.uk - there is some info on there too

Tony, how did you manage to get hold of the engine & box? any chance on letting us in on the costs of purchase and shipping etc. I ask because we know the costs of buying new with import duties etc but I would be very intrested in learning about your route

If you don't fancy the slight hassle of modifying the stock harness you can always go down the aftermarket route such as those made by Painless (oh and I happen to have a new one for sale too ).

I bought mine on eBay. I phoned around for door-to-door shipping quotes and finally paid just under £500 with CargoBookers.com. The tax man then wants 5% duty, with VAT added to the total cost (of item, shipping, Insurance and duty). Bear in mind, that you pay duty on the declared value, but if you say the engine cost £50 you'd better have the receipts to back it up.
