steering column UJ material

Does anyone know what bearing material is used in the steering column UJ on a Jag Sumo?,I am not sure if it,s a Jag column or a Sierra column though, the reason I ask is that I have recently replaced both engine mountings with stiffer landrover ones, and I noticed the steering column UJ is now a bit closer to the exhaust manifold which runs underneath it, I got a sudden horrible thought that if this joint has nylon bearings, they could melt and leave me in a bit of a bad situation especially if a long way from home, the UJ is about 1/2" above the manifold, if the joint is phospher bronze or roller bearings etc I wont worry but I need to know as its a proper b@$tard to get at.

Thanks for any replies.

Alfie B
