Caliper paint

Any recommendations for what caliper paint to use. I have some that I am going to recon myself after the farce with getting the first lot done properly and them turning out to be the earlier type calipers.

The ones I have now seem to be in very good condition and with some tlc should look very good.

Paul

Hi Paul,
when I painted mine I used VHT silver very high temp paint you can get it at Halfords etc it is usually used for manifolds etc you can get red/black/silver/white.

I didn't have much luck with caliper paint. Front was done with a premixed epoxy that doesn't seem too bad but is prone to chip. The rears were done with a spray 'caliper' paint but has been damaged by brake fluid.

I believe the two part epoxy paints should be the best. VHT paint possibly OK if you don't spill brake fluid on it.

Andi.

This is for the rears, the fronts I would not even attempt as these you can see. The rears, once on you don't see, so this is why I shall paint them myself. I want them to look good for the photo's of the build etc, but once covered who will see them?

Thats true I suppose,in that case VHT will be the cheapest option.
