Magnecor ignition plug leads

Hi all, has anyone tried Magnecor ignition leads. I'm having some Intermittent misfiring and want to eliminate the plug leads. These seem to read very well on the website, but have no experience of them. I have an MDS 6AL with blaster unit as part of the ignition system. Also if these are used and suitable can anyone suggest where I might source them from.

Cheers

Steve

I had Magnecor 8mm leads on my old 4.2 Range Rover.

They were good and never gave any problems but I couldn't notice a big difference over the standard Lucus ones I replaced.

On my 350 Chevy I have Taylor leads from Here. Repower

They are supplied all the same length and you cut and fix the ends yourself to ensure a neat installation.

Seem fine so far.

Craig.

Cheers Craig. Will probably give those a go as mine are looking a bit tatty. Out of interest how do you make off the loose ends - do you need a special crimp tool?

I did mine carefully with a sharp knife and some cheap crimping pliers but it didn't have the proper crimp for HT leads. It would have been easier to use the proper crimping tool but it worked just fine using what I had.
Maybe someone around your area has the correct tool?

The spark plug end of the lead is already fitted so it's just the distributor end that needs doing.

Craig.

I have Magnecor leads on my car, they are fine.

I bought a set to suit the engine, ready made up.

Cheers
