Question SVA and speedo

Failed SVA because, although the ETB speedo was spot on up to 50mph, it failed to register at higher speeds. I've had problems all along with magnets & sensors so I'm now using the Tremec take off. i tried a few different calibrations whilst on the rolling road but with no success. Is it a faulty gauge or not? Anyone come across this before.
Tony

The tremec sensor might be a different type device to the one you were using.

How many wires went to the ETB sensor?

Craig.

I guess you have wired it up according to these instructions.
100mm_ETB_Speedo_wire.pdf

I think the Tremec sensor is different as my one has one terminal connected to an earth on the gearbox, and the other cable goes to the gauge.

Unless the black cable on the ETB instrument is an earth?

Might be worth speaking to ETB to see if they know a fix.

Craig.

Question speedo

I have sent the speedo back for checking but I'm begining to wonder if its something as simple as a dedicated earth.
