RE: Battery location

Steve - put mine in the passenger side boot well. Best place to counter torque reaction on take off (rear n/s wheel tries to lift??). Anyone hits you in the rear hard enough to make that a problem - your necks broke anyway! (don't you just love the lighter side of life?)
Only thing is you have to use real thick cableon the run up to the front to eliminate volt drop.

RE: Battery location

Put it behind the passenger seat, like the original S/C's and comp cars.

RE: Battery location

I Have a Dax the battrey is up front , and as its fitted with a Rover engine that is light, the battery compensates with a little extra weight, one other advantage is the ease you can get at it, also you can attatche an inspection light with no problems, it does not get hot either.
