pin sharp brakes

Can anyone help me, I have a dual balanced brake system non servo assisted. The brakes are real sharp but as expected alittle heavy. If I were to reduce the diameter of the master cylinder I would have assumed that the effort to depress the brake peddle would be less, but the travel of the peddle be more to exert the same pressure on the brake! Is this true? Also if I were to do this then would I have have enough length in the cylinder or might I run out. Is this a trial and error thing or can somone help me out?

RE: pin sharp brakes

Hi Richard

Have a search of the forum. You will find quiet a few threads on your question. I believe, from memory there was one about a brake servo and there was a detailed reply which may answer your question.

John
