Chevy water pumps

Hi all,

What is the difference between a short and a long water pump ?

And does anybody have a chrome one knocking about ?

worth a try

Kelvin.

As I understand it, with the water pump stood on a flat surface, the distance to the pully flange is in the order of 6 3/4" then it's a long unit, any less than 6", it's a short unit.
