RE: Bell housing

I have a bell housing for a Chevy 350. A.K can do the adaptor plate and hydraulics, as can Paul Hinkley of P&D Sportscars. If you are interested in the bell housing, ring me on 01202 710765

Regards

David

RE: Bell housing

Steve

I have fitted a Getrag to a 350 Chevy. I used an AK adaptor plate. You will also need the standard chevy clutch release baring sleeving to fit the gearbox input shaft, they modified mine when they made the adaptor plate. I have used a 11" McLeod clutch cover with a Mopar 11" clutch plate. The Mopar plate has 1" 33 spline centre as does the Getrag gearbox.
The next problem I face is the clutch slave cylinder, I am concidering using the one off the XJS I ripped to bits. It seems to work OK i.e. it seems to release the clutch plate but it's always a bit difficult to be absolutely sure until the engine is running (which it hopefully will be soon).

Which kit are you building?

RE: Bell housing

Thanks for your comments guy`s

My kit is AK, i have a Getrag gearbox taken from a 5 series BMW.
As far as the engine goes, this is where i`m out of my depth.
I have decided to go via the crate engine from GM and i have a guy called Al
who runs a drag car called Al`s Gasser at the pod who is going to build it for me.

David i am interested in the bell housing you have i will ring you soon.
