Jaguar Getrag 265 clutch/flywheel questions

Can any users of the Jaguar Getrag 265 on a small block Chevy please let me know what flywheel/clutch cover/friction plate combinations they used please, and where they sourced the parts from. Thanks. Ian

RE: Jaguar Getrag 265 clutch/flywheel questions

Paul hinckley at pd sportscars, burton on trent uses this combination regularly, he'll know, and sell you the kit, including the clutch actuator mechanism

RE: Jaguar Getrag 265 clutch/flywheel questions

If the Getrag gearbox comes from a Jaguar XJ40 then the front spline is 23T. This conveniently matches the Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth "Mopar" clutch plate.

Get yourself a new 3 piece clutch set to suit the small block Chevy and the Mopar driven plate. All are available from Real Steel: 01 895 440505.

AK Sportscars do an adaptor plate to join the Chevy Bell housing to the Getrag gearbox. If you decide to go down this route get the prop shaft off the XJ40 as well - the output splines are not easy to get!

Hope that helps.

John
