    Rear wind deflector

I am thinking about fitting a rear wind deflector to my roll hoops to reduce the backdraft. What have others done and are they effective?

    Hi Graham,

We have a full width one on our SRV8 - it does reduce it, but tend to move the buffetting up towards the top off your head, rather than being battered around you neck area.

I'd say probably the most effective is some side screens + rear deflector.

There are a few threads on here about wind deflectors, try doing a search for +wind +deflector or +wind +breaker to see what comes up (include the + symbols as written)

The best solution I have found is a Buff. https://www.buffwear.co.uk/catalogue/ They really are good.

Side screens replacing wind wings help to reduce wind and noise very effectively.
Rear screen in addition gives a small improvement on top of that but on its own not very good.

hi i have fitted some to the roll bars and as said they move the buffeting area higher up, i am just making some side screens to run alongside them ,i will let you know if it improves the turbulence regards Dave B
