chevy sump plug

Hi,

Does anyone know the thread size on a chevy sump plug?

I need to know to order a converter for the oil temp sender unit!

Why not use the tapped gallery above the fuel filter housing? You might just find it screws right in........

Fuel filter housing???? wheres that? or do you mean oil filter housing? My fuel filter is part of the carb...

Oh Norm you tinker, you know what he means.

And the thread he's talking about is 1/4 ntp or os it npt?(That's the one above the OIL filter) Either way if you use some plumbers tape and wrorpe (not sure of the spelling on that) it in you can get away with using 1/4 bsp which are more readily available in the UK.

Norm, you may want to check teh clearance you have under your sump - with the plug usually being the lowest point, it may be better to have a tap brazed into another point on the sump - that way the wire from the sender won't be at risk of getting pulled off.
