| Accelerator Cable from RV8 to Sierra Pedal Assembly I have been putting off a problem for long enough, after giving it some thought I have not managed to solve it. The issue I have is that the cable I was given for my webber carb has a round nodule on the end - Problem is so does the Sierra Accelerator pedal - How have people got around this problem? At Stonleigh, Bob described to me how he had used a copper funnel (I believe an inline reducer used for plumbing) split the side to allow the cable to fit. Drilled a hole in the bottom along with another slit to allow the piece to fir over the nodule on the pedal. The whole gubbins was filled with some glue... A very good solution - What other solutions have been employed? Dan 'Were all these nuts used before' Man www.cobra.kitcar.btinternet.co.uk |

| RE: Accelerator Cable from RV8 to Sierra Pedal Assembly Dan, I got my Webber from RPi who provided me with a complete kit. Had the same problem you did - round end on pedal and cable. I called the guys at RPi and they sent me an adapter. You simply cut off the end of the cable and slot the end into this brass adapter. The cable is fastened with a grub screw. On the other end is a hole that slides over the nipple on the pedal, again screwed into place. Works a treat. I'm sure that even if you didn;t get your Webber form them they would supply you with the part you need - should only cost a few pence. Cheers, Tony B |
