    Sierra back axle conversion

Has anyone replaced a granada back axle with a sierra unit. What is the distance between the main cross beam mounting nuts on the sierra. I've seen a sierra unit for sale LSD and calipers etc. My car is a pilgrim mk2

If you are Mk2 Sumo then chances are you've got Mk2 Granada running gear. It's a totally different animal to Sierra/Mk3 Granada running gear as used in the Mk3 Sumo

Hmm I'd be interested in this - Granada MK2 diffs seem very difficult to get hold of. I'd love to put an LSD in my car, but they're as rare as hen's teeth I understand. Think I saw one being advertised on ebay for about £850 alone. Ouch. Cossy LSDs seems to be kicking about everywhere, on the other hand.

Fairly certain you'd want to take the bodyshell off and go from there - don't remember reading of someone having done it before though.
