Dax Radiator Mounting Hello All Can anyone give me some information as to how and where you position and mount the radiator on the DAX. I have a Rover 3.5 and a standard radiator. I presume I need some sort of brackets to mount the radiator but where I think it should mount there is nothing solid underneath i.e. it looks like it mounts between the two forward rails. The only place I can see it fixing to are the inner wings. Will they support the weight of the radiator ?. Any info will be greatly apprecaited. Regard's Paul

RE: Dax Radiator Mounting Hello Paul The bottom radiator mount is a long bracket which is a long U shape bracket. Mine bolts through the sides of the box section on the front horns,Their is an earlier type bracket which bolt up through the bottom of the box section of the front horns. The top mounts are two brackets which bolt on the top of the radiator and onto the inner wings,( this if you are using dax own rad). I belive that the difference between the two brackets is that the earlier bracket held the rad in a upright postion and the later one aloud the rad to tilt back giving more clearance for the larger rads. Hope this helps regards Paul. :7

RE: Dax Radiator Mounting Steve, Not sure what mine is exactly - I believe it was from an SD1 and AK had it re-cored, no tranny oil cooler so I presume it must be from a manual. I don't have any overheating problems - though I have been ensuring adequate airflow by driving really fast!! Stuart

| RE: Dax Radiator Mounting Stuart I only get high temps when in traffic jams<temp goes up to about 110 and drops to 70-80 when moving again.so like you I try to avoid driving too slow.As I got my wrist slapped elsewhere I do not condone any sort of illegal activity. I take it you've run in now or did you just get tired of waiting. Regards Steve G.

RE: Dax Radiator Mounting Steve, Well run in and properly set-up now - you'll have to come over for another gentle ride round the country roads at a sedate speed. I did have a problem where the temperature momentarily rose to 100ish but then dropped again for no good reason - I have a bleed in my top hose so have bled it, and whilst no air seemed to come out, it doesn't seem to do it anymore. Haven't been stuck in traffic for any long periods yet though. Stuart
