Holley 600 Vacuum advance query

Can anyone advise me of the correct location of the take off point on a holley 600 with vacuum secondaries for the ignition vacuum advance pipe to connect to. There are two possible locations, one on the front right corner low down and the other farther round to the front and higher up. My friend and I both have holleys and the vacuum advance take offs are located in different places. Are they the same or is there a difference? Many thanks.

RE: Holley 600 Vacuum advance query

Hello Nigel
Their are two take of points on the holley, The one you need is the one on the
metering block, This is half way up on the side of the carb and on the section
between the main carb body and the float chamber, not the one on the base
of the carb,This is the information that reel steel gave me.

RE: Holley 600 Vacuum advance query

mmmm! I havent got such a connection, only the one on the front right that has the right size connection for the vac/pipe to fit to!? mmmmm!! confused now.

BTW where is the best place to plumb the servo hose to a) on the manifold top, or b) on the carb base where there is yet another connection (larger) ????

Graham, the same person who had his vacuum advance plumbed in differently to mine (and that prompted my question above) also had his servo plumbed differently. Mine is connected to teh inlet manifold top and works fine. His is connected to the take off on the back rear corner of the carb and also works fine!
