Camber, Caster and Toe-in numbers for a DAX

Hi gents and ladies,
I am the proud owner of a Dax Cobra of 1986 that was
imported by the Dutch representative at that time.
(Number 6 build in The Netherlands).
It is a second hand car that I bought from the first
owner.
I am doing several modifications (Change for a
Chevrolet 350 c.i.d.Tuned Port Injection) and I have
revised the front suspension (New bearings, nylon
bushings, etc).
At this time I need some help from you for a correct
setup and alignment.
Can you tell me what the correct numbers are for?
Caster
Camber
Toe-in
Recommended Tire Pressure for “Front 215/60 R15
tires” “Rear 255/60 R15”
I hope that you want to help me to make my Dax Cobra
a perfect driving machine.

Cobra 289

I saw a dark red cobra last weekend driving by Marconi Plein - was that you?
If it was then it`s the first cob I`ve seen in Rotterdam

I think the numbers you require are the back of the Dax build manual, I have it at home but not with me.
I'm sure Dax will tell you if you give them a call.
If not I can dig them out for you later.

RE: Camber, Caster and Toe-in numbers for a DAX

No sadly I don`t have a cobra yet - still dreaming !
I must first finish off my house then search for a garage to buy.
I hope next year to be able to order a kit - I really want a Gardner Douglas but I know I won`t have the same help from GD as I would have from DAX when it comes to registering etc.
I have heard that registering here is very difficult and some people transport their kitcars to UK for SVA and reg then bring them back here and swap over to Dutch reg (I don`t yet know how true that is?)
Anyway I hope I can do the test drives next year and then decide between GD and DAX.
Until then I can still keep dreaming !!

"Front Castor: Fit all 3 shims at the front Adjust if error > 1/2 degree"

Thanks Phil,
This is what I need.
One question, I think that I need to buy from Jaguar the shims because I have discarded the old ones. (Jaguar part No. C.15308- 6 units)
Doe you mean “if error less than ½ degree between left and right” or the result angle measurement should be maximal ½ degree?

Thanks in advance Phil.
Regards,
Cobra289

RE: Camber, Caster and Toe-in numbers for a DAX

An e-mail was send to DAX with the same request but till today no re-play.

Dax build manual was not part of the package when I bought the Cobra. The previous owner was not interested in mechanics and order in Holland a complete build, so no manual in my possession.
thanks,

Four years ago the importer of GD in Holland was a member of the Dutch Cobra Club, hi has designed and installed my LPG gas installation.

The registration is very difficult that is the reason why I bought a second hand.
Be careful and only if you know for 300% sure what it cost and what to do, than you can take the decision. (BPM cost BTW cost etc.)

From all the Kit Cobras is CRENDON the best “Replica” from the UK.
I don’t know if it drives better etc. but it is the nearest reproduction to the real thing and that is the meaning of the word “Replica”.
Check this address and enjoy.
