Edelbrock 500cfm performer carb on RV8

hi all,
just got some nice shiny new parts from the states, got a new carb and a performer manifold.

Has anybody got any picyys or any advice on how to plug the buggers into my engine?

Do I need a spring kit or something because none came with it..

As you can see I havent the faintest Idea what I'm doing...

Can't help with the fitting as I had mine done on my Sumo by a proffessional, good job because most of the bolts on the inlet manifold where seized and snapped when trying to remove.

After paying £200 to have it all fitted, it was well worth the extra BHP, 188 @ 5000rpm at the flywheel on a standard 3500 SD1 motor.

I'm sure you'll manage it. I did with no instructions so it's gotta be OK.
All that has been said is good advice. I ahd to fabricate up an accelerator bracket & change the fuel line direction but thats all. I'm on the priginal rods/jets & it runs fine. I would say though that if your unhappy with the performance & want to start changing the rods etc, buy the edelbrock kit for about £50. It includes every combination of rods/jets which to buy singley are not only pricey but difficult to find.
Any probs just mail me here

Cheers

I've got a copy of the installation instructions if you need them. If you would like a copy just let me have your address and I'll pop them in the post.

Cheers

Jim

thanx Tinka, you make it sound easy..

couple of questions
do I need a pcv valve? and if so how would it fit on my rocker cover, as I have a little brass tube sticking out of one, does it fit on this?

What about springs for the throttle assembly? do I need any of thouse?

also cheers all you guys for the help, Im sure I will pick it up one of these days, the running gear bits are far easier to sort out )
