RE: identity lineup for GD parts!

Hi Paul.
You know that i've never built a GD but can i guess before the knowledgeable crowd join in.
Top left.........Battery box.
Top centre.......Exhaust bracket.(Diff or rear valance area)
3Rd down left....Handbrake bracket (That is if GD use an XJS item).
Squares in centre.....Seatbelt anchorage spread plates.
Give up on the rest.
Please remember that these are only guesses and if no one else replies then call Andy at GD.

The bottom two are aftermarket Chassis stiffeners.

Do you want them for your Dax, as Paul won't need them. }> }>

RE: identity lineup for GD parts!

U brackets mount over rear shocks for rollover bar brace (3rd leg)plus longer than std bolts. T brackets (Stainless) are for mounting head restraint pads on rollover bars. Other brackets appear to be correctly identified except for fuel tank straps which might just stiffen up a Dax driver but probably not help the Dax itself. My GD does not use a battery box - the thing is wedged into the side sponson with expanding foam. I am not convinced the 'battery box' is that at all. My GD ain't got one and it looks beefy enough to be a mod for a gearbox or diff fitting.

RE: identity lineup for GD parts!

Mikey doesn't need them either as his car has its rear nudge bar brackets incorporated into the chassis frame.}> }>

OK, got the low-down from Andy.

Thanks to all for the input.

top left - battery tray
below thet - two roll bar mounts, they bolt to the rear suspension mount.
below them - handbrake mount
bottom - fuel tank straps
top centre - exhaust mount, bolts to rear chassis via rubber strap.
centre - seat belt mounts/plates
below them - battery clamp strap
T-bars - Headrest mounts
top right - nudge bar mounts

Paul

RE: identity lineup for GD parts!

Callum,

Thanks for the input. Andy says that indeed the tray is for the battery. It must be a revision to the kit.

identity lineup for GD parts!

All,

I am sending this off to GD tomorrow but thought I would see how knowledgable you fellow GD owners are?!

Apart from the two brackets in the top right which I assume to be mountings for the front nerf bars what are the other brackets? :+

Exhaust now fitted along with chassis front extension frame(?), getting there!

Paul
