Speedo cable RV8 and Heater fan

Hi all,

Need to replace my speedo cable RV8 into smiths speedo, the small square end (at speedo) has broken due to a poor path I think.
Is it difficult and where can I source a cable?

I think water has entered the fan on my heater as it makes an awful noise and sounds like it is about to grind to a halt, how do I access it and is it possible to overhaul the fan motor?

One last question, probably need new tyres within the next few months, I live in Spain (very slippy roads), don't need super grip as I'm not too mad! Any suggestions and how much should I expect to spend?

Thanks

Speedy Cables (London) Ltd 0207 226 9228 are the peaople for all things speedo related (re-calibrate, cables etc).
Dax generally use on old design Smiths fan heater assembly. This can be removed from inside the car with the dash removed & diconnecting the heater hoses within the engine bay. Mine leaked & was easy to DIY fix with solder. For a new motor (if required) suggest you speak with Dax direct.
Sorry cannot help with tyre selection. Only use the expensive high performance stuff myself.
