RE: corner weights

You use corner weight scales (I don't think the type of scale you have in your bathroom will work )

at it's most simplest can be a single pivot arm that you place at the corner of your car and jack up (Even though it is a simple lever with a weight gauge they still cost a couple £00)

The next step up would be the electronic scales that you place under the wheels but they cost even more.

I'm sure http://www.demon-tweeks.com/ would sell a whole load of corner weight scales. Infact just checked and they do a whole load of set up equipment that will help empty any bank account... http://www.demon-tweeks.com/drill.as...&whichway=DOWN

by far the cheapest but most agro way of checking your corner weights would be to visit a scarp yard that has a wieght bridge. Can then roll various parts of the car on to the bridge and get the measurements.

RE: corner weights

If your not bothered about what the actual weights are there is a simple method for equalising them.

Find somewhere convenient that on the front chassis cross member and mark it's midpoint. Then with a trolley jack and a reasonably pointed 'thing' jack the front of the car up at the front under this point (you might want to use an additional steel pad to spread the load so you don't dent the chassis with the point). Then adjust rear spring units untill ride height is equal side to side. Then repeat using a central point on the rear of the chassis somewhere and adjust fronts. Ideally you should do this with a 'driver' in situ.

You now have balanced side to side weights front and rear.

Just a thought

I have a Tyco Scaletrix one, that would probably be the limit.

But I might have just the pointy thing you are talking about. My wife made some cakes over the christmas period, one of those would do. As long as I have enough left to build the retaining wall, you are welcome to as many as you want. :+ :+ :+
