| RE: Supercharging a yank V8 Simon Its gotta be strong, and low compression, and it has to be balanced really well. 8:1 compression, doesn't matter to much about the cam, as the blower will more than compensate for any drastic profile, a decent street can will do just fine. Single plane manifold for proper distribution, 4 bolt mains with SPLAYED mains. Don't bother with a carb, just fuel injection it from day one, as jettting a carb with a blower is a real ball ache and yoy can never get it spot on. | RE: Supercharging a yank V8 Simon I bought a 302 with a paxton supercharger and the internals are pretty much stock.Try this website www.SummittRacing.com There in the states but they sell superchargers to fit stock engines for about $2500.00.I get all my bits from them and even with shipping its still cheaper than here. | RE: Supercharging a yank V8 4 bolt mains >with SPLAYED mains. Do you get this by driving around the block with no oil in the engine? No Need to reply. :+

| RE: Supercharging a yank V8 Like Robs Can you get a other superchargers that fit under the bonnet of a cob. My normal picture of a supercharger sits on to of a carbed V8 but sticks up so high that I could not see properly but I thought thats how there supposed to work best?? What fuel injection would you get and with what supercharger? Is it any easy system to install by oneself? Just enquiring excitedly, Cogwheels turning in ones mind! Graham

| RE: Supercharging a yank V8 Paxton, Vortech, Procharger, etc etc etc. There are a load of them on the market, some better than others as usual. Try www.superchargersonline.com I went for the Edelbrock Multi-Point fuel injection, but will rip out the ECU and the injectors, and air meter later this year and replace with a Motec or Autronic unit and bigger injectors. Manifoldis good for 1000cfm NA, so around 1400CFM Forced induction. Robert UK CRC Forum Admin http://www.cobraclub.com/flags/UK.gif

| RE: Supercharging a yank V8 Hi Rob. Things are getting quite hectic around my way at the moment, considering that i was expecting to be taking the winter off i now have orders through to July and five cars in work at the moment, on top of that my wife is expecting my BOY in the middle of March, so i don't think i'll be attending the Stafford show or the Dax open day this year as i promised to take a month off to help out when the baby arrives. I did manage to get 2 days off for Christmas though. I hope you and your clan are well.
