Please Help !! - Todays Valve Problem

Hi Guys,

I just got a pair of Cleveland Aussie Quench Heads but found that the valves I just bought dont fit!! DOH!!;(

It would appear that I bought for 4V Heads not 2V (which I believe Aussie Q Heads are)?

Here is my dilema:

This is what I have: This is what I appear to need:

Inlet Valves 2.19" Head dia Inlet Valves 2.020" Head dia

11/32" Stem 11/32" Stem

5.300 Long 5.275" Long

0.250" Tip 0.250 Tip

Exhaust Valves 1.710" Head dia Exhaust Valves 1.650" Head dia

11/32" Stem 11/32" Stem

5.060 Long 5.060 Long

0.250 Tip 0.250 Tip

OK now here is the question for you know alls!!}( Especially any Cleveland experts out there!

What about the difference in stem length on the Inlet valves? What effect would it have? Do I get the tip reduced 0.025" to the exact size?

Do I get the machine shop to Machine the seats to suit the valves?

OR

Do I get them to turn down the valves to the 2 Barrel Spec?

OR

Do I buy the correct valves and try to sell the existing ones on the forum to someone with a 4V heads?

HELP PLEASE I'M DESPERATE
;(

Cheers Guys}(

David

RE: Please Help !! - Todays Valve Problem

Sorry Guys,

The first link is very confusing as all the figures did not post onto the forum as I had typed it, for some reason.

It was in two columns for comparison purposes but have now joined upx(

Please feel free to ask if not clear.

Yours desperately

David}(

Hi David,
I really think you should get a refund on the valves you have and buy the correct ones.
If you start tinkering with the others it's bound to end in tears.
