Upper wishbone

Hello!

I need help how to identify which of my complete assembled upper wishbones that are right and wish one that are left. I made the mistake not register that before disassemly.

Al tips & hints, are welcome!

Even more information:

If i look at the wishbone, one arm is longer than the other. Which one of the arms ar at the front, the shor one or the long one?

(they don't differe much)

I almost certain the longest arm is at the front, if yours are the same as mine. If you look at the wishbones there is a lump on each with a bolt hole underneath and one of those lumps is larger than the other, the largest lump on each side should be at the front.

Hope it makes sense, but after a bottle of wine, I doubt it will.

Long wishbone at the front, short one at the rear.

This will give the correct castor on the wheel hub and just as importantly, place the wheel in the centre of the wheel arch.

When you try to put the wheels on you'll know if you have it correct!

I have already sent this to you Roy (aka magna_swede) by mail but here is the correct answer for the rest of you...

Using XJ series II or III or XJS whisbones, check the triangular shaped "shaved lump" (marked with a yellow marker pen on the attached picture). That is the front one...
