Brake Caliper Size Fittings Hi all, Im looking at using some aeroquip fittings for my brake calipers and other bits and bobs but am a little unsure of the size of the fittings. Im guessing but jag calipers are ususally 3/8 UNF? Will the banjo type fittings do the job on these or do I need to use another type? cheers Ben

RE: Brake Caliper Size Fittings Be careful Ben Don't think aeroquip hosing is SVA friendly, I may be wrong but I seem to remember that the way the hose is assembled using olives makes it illegal for road use The fact that it is used in all forms of motorsport and is a tried and trusted product seems silly to me, O well what do I know Pete

RE: Brake Caliper Size Fittings B*gger. Oh well thats that idea out of the window, Presumably the SVA rule only applies to the brakes though? and not the rest of the plumbing (oil hose, water, vacuum etc?)x(

RE: Brake Caliper Size Fittings What type have you got then Kev? Do I remember rightly that the hose needs to have some sort of marking on it? or am I making that up? cheers Ben&V

| RE: Brake Caliper Size Fittings Ben If you have 4 pot calipers they are definitely 10 x 1.0 mm threads. If you do use s/s fittings I bought part no.9975917 and copper washers A4516 direct into caliper. No leaks but no brakes yet either. 'nother story to be told later. Steve G GE427-Rover 281ci.
