Cleaning Halibrand replica wheels

Anyone got any great tips for polishing the rims on Halibrand replicas, specifcally in the area right next to the hub where the hub bolts to the rims. I always manage to polish the rim with the exception of the last 1/8th or 3/16th of an inch next to the hub where my polishing finger just can't get close enough into the corner between the hub and the rim. x(

Any great tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nigel.
I had the same problem with mine and never found a solution. The ultimate cure was to change to a car with one piece wheels. Comes with the added advantage of real knock offs and no fiddly bits to clean around the wheel nuts.

It spins too fast, and the polishing solution just gets spun off, you need something with a really low speed.

Dremel do a version with variable speed control, you can choose from 5k - 33k rpm, this may be slow enough at lowest setting

Ah hmm! What do you know about polishing wheels Rob? I thought you had the same annual damp rag policy like me!

Even annually, I try to limit the time spent on polishing. any labour saving device is good. {-} {-}

I am even taking the rear nudge bar off, as it is just another bit of shiney thing to polish, and I don't really like it.

Took the anodising option on the rims which, alledgedly, means no polishing....time will tell

Well worth the investment I reckon

Cheers
