Steering Rack

I am at early stages with a Clasic Replicas Jag based Cobra. There is conflicting information about what steering rack to use and how if necessary to modify it to fit. Is there anyone who has experience of this kit who can advise?

Baz

Have a look for Osgood on the forum, he has a Jag based Classic Replicas Viper.

Baz, I have every sympathy for you mate not an easy kit to build( . Steering rack used up to around 1998 was a left hand drive Cortina unit shortened and up side down.

Then Ken Cook in his wisdom decided to fit a Mk Escort rack, if you have two rather flimsy looking brackets hanging on each chassis rail then this is the one for your chassis. Modification to the steering rack rods need to be done & conversion ends need to be acquire, Quick racks in this moad are available. Any help you need contact me on email address is: ericandliz.rayner@ntlworld.com

Cadini motor sport now own the company they are in Bournemouth 01202894009 or 0976 576595 www.kitcarbuilders.co.uk page 16 Snake Torque magazine.
