Harmonic Damper Puller

Hi all,

Does anyone near York, Leeds, Bradford have the puller for installing the harmonic damper correctly.

Of course I fully expect to reward such generosity with 4 cans of special brew, tetleys or whatever hits the spot.

Cheers
Warren

RE: Harmonic Damper Puller

A puller to install the damper? I just tapped mine on with a rubber mallet but if you're removing it, I just used two meaty screwdrivers between the block and the damper. Gentle leverage and it just fell off.

RE: Harmonic Damper Puller

Is the nose of your crankshaft not tapped to take a bolt? If it is you can draw it on with that. If not I would have thought the tapping with a rubber mallet would do it. Do not hit the outer ring though as you may break the bond with the inner hub.
Mike.
