| RE: ENGINE NUMBER Thanks everyone for the advice. I managed to get confirmation off LDV. I spoke to a chap who did a cross reference with the sales dept and got the chassis number date of regerstration and they have supplied a letter to confirm it. The vehicle inspectorate have said they will accept this as proof of manufacture. Thanks again for all your help lets hope it passes now as ill be on the road on 2 weeks time. andy rich |

| RE: ENGINE NUMBER Cheers, What is an official place to go ie website or book to show sva man to support the casting number/dates etc. I have some websites and D.Vizard 'How to rebuild your...' re casting numbers, but what is deemed as official proof. Anyone there been to sva recently and what documents did you produce? Graham

| RE: ENGINE NUMBER Contrary Mary Andy, get in touch with Bob Birchell (Bobs Cob), he has a small block Chevy book of mine on loan which I got from the states. It may have what you are looking for in there. It contains all the numbers, where to look for them. application and even what carb was fitted, dates etc. Eric |
