Which Year?

I'm sure I have asked this question earlier in the week but can't find the post :} I have fitted a Rover 3.5 lump from a range rover, It turns out that the block was built between 83-85. What year are cats required and what sort of emissions test will my car need to pass in the SVA? I'm in the slightly unfortunate possition of having to pass the SVA first time or end up walking to Elvington

RE: Which Year?

As long as you can prove the engines age as 83-85 you don't need to worry about cats.
Good luck with the test.
I think cats came in around 91.

RE: Which Year?

The only Proof I have is the engine list from this site. I phoned the Heritage center but they don't hold records for Range rover - from which my engine was extracted. I guess I'll just need to bribe the chap to overlook the matter... {-} {-} {-}
