Servo/master cylinder combination

According to DAX the servo/master cylinder combination should be from a Ford Escort Mk5.
My question is:
Does some one know the size of the master cylinder? 13/16 or 1?
Is the size of 13/16? enough to move the Jaguar pistons and maintain short pedal movement?

RE: Servo/master cylinder combination

I dont know the size but it does work fine. I got mine from a scrap yard and serviced it, I found that all the mk 4 escorts had the same servos in them, just some had a different restrictor in line with them, this isnt used anyhow.

Ditto to what Phil says.
The brakes may feel spongey for a while, but once they have bedded in they will be "Pin Sharp".

RE: Servo/master cylinder combination

Hi Guy?s,
The problem is I don?t have an Excort servo/master cylinder combination.
I got a Honda master cylinder with a Honda 8? servo. The Honda master cylinder is 13/16? diameter and I will compare with the Escort Mk5 or Mk4 size.
Cam some one check please the size of the master cylinder?

I plan to change the setup for a Land Rover S3 master cylinder and the corresponding 8? servo. So I need some information about the size to make a decision. (Any advise, comments?)
I need to use the 8? servo because the steering column is to close to the servo and it is not so much space left.
I got a LHD DAX cobra.
Regards,
Carlos
