Thread type and size on SBC manifold and heads

Please could someone confirm the thread spec. of the accessory mounting holes on the front face of Small-block Chevy heads and manifold. They're Edelbrock items if this makes any difference.

My guess is 3/8 UNC but I don't have any KNOWN 3/8 UNC bolts to try.

Simon

RE: Thread type and size on SBC manifold and heads

Just ordered a set of ARP stainless manifold bolts for my SBC with flarenut heads. As I have a large diameter custom manifold set, I cannot get a ring spanner or socket head on a couple of the bolts and I have therefore had to order a set of hex-nut bolts instead. Yours for a fiver if you want them.
