| Vanity items.... Whats the lowdown with mirrors (in terms of pre/post SVA) ? AK recommend getting the rear view mirror from S+J (mountable on the body as opposed to the screen). I quite fancy one of these, but is the view more restriced than one that sticks to the window ? In terms of side mirrors, I understand that these are also available from S+J (SVA compliant) and they screw into the side pillars of the screen (two are needed for the SVA ?). Can I assume that this means you cant fit the wind wings at the same time ? I quite fancy getting the body mounted pointy jobbers (post SVA), but I understand they are as good as useless.... Also, I dont fancy spending over £100 to get some 'temporary' mirrors for the SVA and then spending some more on some tasty ones later... Comments welcome. Ta Marcus :Y |

| RE: Vanity items.... Marcus The visibility is very good with the S&J body mounted mirror and it gives enough vision for the SVA test, the only problem I find is that you cannot see all of the front nearside wing, as the mirror blocks the vision. Only 1 drivers side mirror is required for the SVA, the rear vision from the pillar mounted mirror is more than adequate to pass the test, Ken from AK had a pillar mounted mirror he loaned out for the SVA, might be worth giving him a ring. Yes you can fit the pillar mounted mirrors with wind wings, but you can't fit wing wings as they are not SVA compliant.
