Ex manifolds

With a tuned engine, car is SRV8 350sbc) I am wondering whether my manifolds are not quite up to the job.

They are 1 1/2" dia primaries into a collector that is 2" then a bit of straight 2" pipe to a 3 1/2" custom chrome single bend, then chrome sidepiupe jobs.

My guess they are not big enough.

I dont mind if they are a bit power robbing for now, but I am worried about harmful backpressure, etc.

Anyone know of a good custom manifold maker and sidepipes. I thought mild steel for manifolds as they would be painted and wrapped, and stainless sides.

Hi Graham,
I would have thought 1 3/4" primaries going straight into your 3 1/2" collector would be better.
How about talking to Custom Chrome as you're using their side pipes I believe they deliver a good product and service.

Don't know where you live but these guys are brilliant stainless exhaust engineers and reasonably priced.

Just had my AK collectors made bigger, what a difference to the power and top end revs.
