Chroming engine parts

Does anyone know of a good company for chroming engine parts like rocker covers, preferably in the North West as I live near Chester.

If anyone has had it done how much does it cost roughly.

Cheers
Howard

RE: Chroming engine parts

Howard, there are several about, however, if you want excellent quality and are prepared to pay that little bit extra, Derby Plating are the finest (in my opinion). Not cheap however, I had a pair of rocker covers chromed at a cost of £200 + vat. As I said, not cheap but excellent quality and lifetime guarentee.

Why don't you e-mail SteveG. He is the main man on the forum for chroming and plating? Sure he'll give you a quote.

RE: Chroming engine parts

Howard, cannot remember the cost but I had several small engine parts plated back in 1993 at Custom Chrome in Coventry and they are still 100 pct OK today. Worth asking them for a quote.

What engine u got?

If it is a Ford or Chevy V8, it will probably be more cost effective to just purchase new chromed parts-try Summitracing.com
