| Which Servo and Master Cylinder Hi I am building a Viper with Jag running gear and brakes, four pot fronts and twin pot rears, as standard jag. I was going to fit a jag master cylinder and servo but unfortunately I cannot fit this in between the balkhead and inner wing, I was wondering what other jag based set ups used. The crucial thing as I see it is the the bore of the master cylinder should be comparable with that of the jag setup such that a similar volume can be passed to the calipers for the same pedal travel Any advice would be appreciated. | RE: Which Servo and Master Cylinder Don't take my word for it 'cause I've got brake troubles of my own but, Looking at some of my customers cars, the last one was a ram with a jag setup which had the marina pedal box and what looks to me ( and I will stand corrected) to be a landrover master cylinder. Almost identical to the marina but It has a slightly different filler bottle with a slightly different fixing to the marina. It could of been Ital or so I'm told the allegro hade the same box!! | RE: Which Servo and Master Cylinder I am going to build my own pedalbox for my AK (I don't want the default Marina solution). I was first looking at the Jaguar E-type solution with a remote servo. But I have fallen for the Toyotas after poking around the local wreckage yeard. They all come with compact mater cylinders and servo. The clutch got a nice cyliner too with a tight fit next to the servo. The pedals are bolted to an almost vertical and flat bulkhead. The guy running the yeard made me a price of £40 for the whole package (break and clutch cyliners, servo, pedals and clutch slave cyliner). I am going for the Toyota Supra and I hope that the clutch cylinders will be enough...

| RE: Which Servo and Master Cylinder Just a word of warning. One of my setups was nissan blue bird turbo clutch master and the seal kits are hard to get and v. expensive. thats why I'm not using it in the end. Piont being Jap cars! I'm sure you know what your doing. ( I on the orther hand haven't got a clue!!) Rgds Roger :tu |
