Borg Warner 5 Speed Manual Box

I've found a BW 5 speed Manual box (I assume its a T5) taken out of an SD1 Vitesse that i'm looking to buy. What should i be looking for to see what kind of condition it's in?

I don't rhink it will be a T5, I'm no expert but but it's probably an R380.
which I believe is an upgraded LT77

If it's the original box that was fitted to the car then it's not a Borg Warner T5 - it's an LT77. It could of course be a T5 out of a TVR which wiuld be a relatively easy retro fit into an SD1 - if so, lucky you - the T5 is probably a better box than a 77.

The only BW box standard fit in an SD1 was 3 speed auto.

Does it look like attachment? then it's a 77 (although picture is actually an R380).
