| Fitting a hood Has anyone got a set of instructions and or parts list of items needed when fitting a hood to a cobra? I'm thinking of buying a hood and fitting it myself. I have previously fitted hoods to MG Midgets and MGBs, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. But I would like a list of parts to buy. I.e. how does the hood attach to the screen channel, and how/where does the hood bow fit to the body. Any drawings/instruction would be appreciated. |

| RE: Fitting a hood Hi, Dave from DB cars posted a set of instructions on here about 2 years ago, i have no idea if there in the archives, do a search, if not i printed them out and used them to fit mine, they were very helpful, i can scan them in and post them here but have a search first as thats easier, Phil

| RE: Fitting a hood Dave, as you you say it's no worse than an MG hood to fit. I've done both too. You need the body studs and mating half for the hood. A rear hoop and a pair of ferrules into the body behind the door aperture. The front hoop is in two halves, they have a tee shaped pin towards the middle which locates in the groove in the top of the screen frame. The outer ends are secured with over centre clips to the screen uprights. There are various option for side screens. All the parts are available from Europa amonst others. http://animatedgif.net/flags/-flags-uncat/Wales.gif Kev Davies Dax, 383ci Chevy Stroker, Tremec TKO South Wales
