Coolant Hoses

Hi all

I am about to order hoses for the cooling system from Merlins. The diameter of the pipes the hose needs to fit is 38mm. Do I buy 38mm internal diameter hoses or 35mm and force them on?

Cheers
Warren

RE: Coolant Hoses

Hi
Although I've got a Dax, I used an AK Header Tank as I prefer the look, and yes 38mm Samco hose works great. On the header tank however, there is no ridge at the ends of the pipe to prevent the hoses from slipping off. A tip here is to make cuts at the ends of the pipe appox. 3mm apart, then bend the resultant tags outward to create a lip for added sucurity.
