How to........ Billet Steering wheel boss - Mota Lita

Well I'm bored so I thought I'd test fit the billet boss I bought to the steering column. The boss is for a mota lita wheel and the column is a sierra.

All fits fine barring the fact there are two lugs on the boss that foul on the gold plated part of the steering column (pictured below).

Do I cut the lugs on the boss or remove the gold part?

Cheers for the help.

Michael

Michael

The gold bit is the plate that the lower steering column shroud screws into, I don't think you will need the lugs as the self canceller for the indicators should be in the centre of the boss.

Wait for a second opinion before you cut them off.

cut them off............or pull them out, they serve no purpose whatsoever.
When you bolt the boss on make sure that the key is in the ignition otherwise you will mangle the steering lock.
