SVA...seat belt height !!

Hi Guy's,

Could anyone tell me if u have to have seats on runners for SVA?? (have removed them to give extra 'depth' from top of seat belt position)
Does it matter the 'thickness' of seat squab?....i need to 'gain another 30mm....so thinking of putting a 'temporary' seat squab in place (will be thin and uncomfortable!!!)Would this be acceptable by SVA inspector?

Any other thoughts that may help (clean ones only plz!!!) would be appreciated.

Cheers....steve...

RE: SVA...seat belt height !!

Steve, all AK seats are bolted straight on to the floor to get through the SVA. The only thing the testers are interested in is the height between the seat and the fastening not how comfortable they are.

RE: SVA...seat belt height !!

I had to remove the seat squab, for my SVA. The tester was fine with that. In fact he suggested it as the height was too high as everything was new.
