| Morris Minor Boot Hinges Just a quick question – do the kits which use the Morris Minor hinges as standard require you to modify them in any way before fitting ? Reason that I ask is that they are a bit different to the Imp hinges that Pilgrim for example, use. The Morris hinges are curved in both dimensions and thus follow a radius when opening whereas the Imp ones are basically flat. It would seem to me that I couldn’t swap Morris for Imp without first grinding the hinges ‘flat’. Cheers, Pete.

| RE: Morris Minor Boot Hinges The hinges that Dax use are tapered which means that you to fit each one to the correct side of the car. Iyou get them wrong you can't open/ close the boot. http://www.woodoouk.eclipse.co.uk/Wales.gif Kev Davies Dax, 383ci Chevy Stroker, Tremec TKO South Wales

| RE: Morris Minor Boot Hinges Pete, long time ago but I recall my car used Austin Healey type hinges which were radiussed in both directions and did not need modification to fit.

| RE: Morris Minor Boot Hinges Thanks guys, Got hold of a pair of Minor hinges - first one modded OK and will fit the IMP original holes and position. Managed to b***er up the second one whilst grinding - got the hinge too hot & the chrome started to peel badly around the ground edge. Never mind, will look nice when done - as I need to buy more hinges, will have a look at he Healey ones too. Cheers, Pete.

| RE: Morris Minor Boot Hinges Cheers for the advice Nigel. Just bought a couple of Healey hinges & they are basically identical to the Minor ones but are essentially flat - so no grinding necessary! Should fit a treat - will see tomorrow. Pete.
