dash layout

hi all

what is the layout for the original dash? does anyone have a template?
is the original dash sva friendly and do all the switch and warning lamp functions have to be detailed for sva?
is the popular layout better than the original

any help appreciated thanks guys.

ps also can anyone recomend a contact for applying walnut veneer to polycarbonate?

I know this has been covered before and that there is most definately an original dash layout hidden somewhere in the forum posts.
I have done a a quick search but didn't manage to find it.
Take a look and you should find it if you look hard enough.

the dream is becomming real
de-dion chassis,brake & suspension modules. 320bhp RV8 (ex TVR 5l) tremec box. and lots of switches plugs & fixings. oh! and no dining room.

You think some of those dials may be covered by the steering wheel when it's put on.... obviously original layout is pre SVA

Hi,

Correct, the speedo is the one the SVA man will worry about. When I built my 289, I had to make sure that speedo was visible, swap between rev and speedo to get the best location.

I have attached a picture of my dash, this passed the SVA with no issue.
