Extremely technical (sun-visors)

Fitted sun visors today with the hope I might need them sometime this year(and as the old forhead seems to be riding higher each year and I don't like the idea of wet wiping moths off my head whenever I get anywhere).
Do I now have to cut chunks out of the frame on the front of the hood that sit's over the windscreen or have I fitted them wrong(I don't see any other way).
cheers dave.n

RE: Extremely technical (sun-visors)

You've probably fitted the brackets upside down, I did exactly the same. You shouldn't have to alter your hood.

Regards

Dave

Sorry to disagree with Steve, you will have to cut slots out the hood rail, at least I had to, just been out and rechecked, there is no way round it.

RE: Extremely technical (sun-visors)

Hi Dave, I think it depends on the fittings weather or not you need to cut the screen bows. On mine I didn't have to cut them. There is a slight bulge in the screen bows where the visors are and the screen fastenings also have a cut out so there was no need to cut or trim anything on mine.:tu Here is a picture of the screen fastenings.

RE: Extremely technical (sun-visors)

Clearly 2 types of fittings - one with a slot down the back the hood bow slides into and one that may need surgery (some hood bows have a bulge to incorporate either fitting)
