RE: Heater yes or no

If your screen is the same as most you should be able to remove the screws through the upright into the screen frame and lift it out leaving the uprights in place in the body.

RE: Heater yes or no

Has anyone fitted a Polo heater in a Mk 3 Sumo without major surgery to the car and putting the battery in the boot?
If so, which Polo heater do you use?

RE: Heater yes or no

Yes I would go along with Kev there, Mini/Polo/Spitfire heater I guess between 10 & 30 pound depending on condition. Any sign its had the dogs turd treatment replace the matrix, but not cheap!!

When you fit the de-mister trims I would suggest NOT fitting chrome ones as they constantly reflect off the screen!!! Just a thought!? Eric. :tu

RE: Heater yes or no

Hi Keith,

It's a MK1 POLO heater you need, it comes out of the engine-bay from under a plastic cover on the drip tray. You take just the motor c/w matrix leaving the control vents and switch gubbins behind.
Remember when re-fitting in cobra to block off the fresh air gap on top of the matrix as we require as much hot air as poss.
(sorry I can't help with fitting in a sumo, but i'm sure it must be possible).

Cheers Steve.
