Triple plate clutch set-up

I have just fitted an AP racing triple plate clutch.
Set-up seems OK & everything appears correct but I cannot
rotate the gearbox with clutch disengaged & gearbox in
gear.
Looking through the inspection cover in the bell housing I
can see the correct & full movement is being achieved & the
friction plates do appear to release.
Am I missing something obvious?
Am I expecting too much without the motor running?
Anyone got any experience of triple plate clutches that can
offer advice?
Baldric

RE: Triple plate clutch set-up

Ok, sorted.
One friction plate installed reversed=clutch that will not
disengage. Doh!

RE: Triple plate clutch set-up

Steve,
Yes motor is RV8 (5.2 supercharged + Nos)
Clutch is AP Racing CP7373-CE90-SF With gear plates.
Hub is CP2822-23-FM3 & sliders are CP2822-31-FM3 all
good for around 850Ib/ft.
Used with AP racing hydraulic clutch release.
Gearbox is CTS built Tremec T5 with quaiffe gears
semi-helical wide ratio racing unit good for about
650Ib/ft (probably more in my light weight Cobra).
See picture of clutch attached.
