| Tremec Shifter Problems Hi Guys, Having left Stoneleigh around 17.00hrs yesterday I travelled down the M40 at a steady pace in 5th gear for around 1 hour and eventually got to the M25 roadworks at Heathrow. When I went for 4th gear I found that the shifter had appeared to have locked itself in 5th!! I tried in vain to move into any other gear whilst on the move but couldnt> Having pulled off at the next junction I managed to move the shift to neutral (although it didnt feel like it) and could get 1st and 2nd, but when trying to move the shifty laterally to get 3rd and 4th I couldnt (it just went straight to 5th again. This problem has occured breifly before, but having left it parked overnight, it was OK in the morning. The problem is not achieving 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th or 5th (ie in a North/South direction but laterally across the gates (east/west). I checked this morning and it appears to be OK again???? Has anyone encountered similar problems o have any ideas as to how to solve the mystery? Could a heat build up be the cause? Is there a means of adjusting the selectors? Anyone got a manual for a TKO II? This is really pi55ing me off, cos if I go to Spa with Rob and the boys I would hate to arrive at the hairpin at Spa with a box full of neutrals :} :} All comments will be gratefully received. Good to see so many of you at Stonleigh!! Roll on Rockingham!. Cheers David

| RE: Tremec Shifter Problems Wouldn't know what the problem is, but here's a link to the service manual for the TKO. Did you know their UK office is in Letchworth on the end of this +44 (1462) 672-222 - may be worth a call. http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English...adPro.asp?id=3 Mark |
