RE: GD Heater Box.

Trigger,
Yes, conventional wisdom would put the hot water in at the top - but the hot water comes from the manifold and is "sucked back in" on the water pump.
The hoses are laid out this way just for neatness I think.

It works reasonably well, but not quite well enough for last Sunday night....
I went for a spin to test the MSD installation - with no roof on!
I ended up having to do an emergency stop, as the car in front of me went through a large puddle and covered my windscreen in icy water, which instantly froze solid on contact!

Tomorrow's job: Wideband Oxygen Sensor system.

Simon.

RE: GD Heater Box.

Thought I'd add my tupence worth. I ended up removing the flanges, fixing rivnuts into the heater and repositioning the blower hoses fittings to their alternative position on the heater... Oh it was still a damm tight fit. Some of this was my own doing, as I'd already fitted the efi ecu on the passenger bulkhead before fitting the heater(w:} ) - but could of moved this if the heater fitting went according to plan. But when all is said and done, I wish the blinking thing had just fitted out of the box and didn't require quite so much buggering about. x(

Note to self: Must talk to Andy about these problems, not just post my rantings.

Oh well, back the the engine bay gel coat (don't you just love English winters...)

RE: GD Heater Box.

Have somehow fitted the heater box, with surprisingly little swearing. Had to use self tappers as there is no way I can get bolts through at the moment.

Bit concerned that I can't actually screw them in that far, but hopefully it won't fall off in the meantime.
