Exhaust mountings GD Jag

Hi People.

Has anyone got photos of the balance box mounts , and the rear silencer mounting arrangement ? Should the Tremec G/box mounting plate sit on top of the chassis brackets, or bolt to the bottom? Also how much clearance should there be between the balance box and the chassis, mine touches the chassis if I use the mounting bobbins supplied by GD.

Regards Malc T

Malc,

Sorry no photo's, just bung a couple of washers between the bobin and the balance box to bring it off the chassis (I had to as well).

Rgds

Jim

RE: Exhaust mountings GD Jag

will try to get some photos for you tomorrow,my gearbox mount plate sits on top of the brackets,I ended up drilling a chassis crossmember at the front of the balance box and screwing in the bobin securing with a locknut so i could adjust the spacings when the entire system was fitted, mine prob differs slightly as my chassis was originally bracketed to fit a rover v8,but i decided to change to a ford so i had to make some engine mount converters to suit, the balance box at the rear is secured just off the diff carrier bracket with the other bobbin
